Interview de bloggueuse : Travinia

Je suis ravie de vous présenter aujourd'hui le look de Travinia. Si vous suivez mon blog, vous la connaissez déjà, tout simplement parce que j'en parle tout le temps ! Quand je n'écris pas quelques lignes sur sa coupe de cheveux ultra rock, je détaille minutieusement son look ultra original et personnel. Travinia est rock et sexy, et ne ressemble à personne ! Je l'adore, et je suis sûre que dès que vous aurez lu ses réponses à mes questions curieuses, vous l'adorerez aussi !

1) Can you quickly describe your blog and introduce yourself ?

first of all, I would like to thank the lovely slanelle for featuring me so many time on her marvelous blog!

I'm an interior designer from kuala lumpur. I love putting on clothes that tells a story or a mood, I love styling and I also get bored easily with trends. My blog is just an extension of my style and what I like at that moment in time. I cringe at times when I look back at my archives. Having this blog keeps me motivated to get inspired through different sort of media and lifestyle. i love everything that is creative, doesn’t matter if its food or a bridge.

2) Since when do you have that crazy cool haircut, and what made you cut your hair this way ? It suits you perfectly!

Thank you! I went through a phase of being blonde, nearly the whole of 2009 i was a ginger head and now I’m back to my black roots with a half shaven head. Well basically It started of when modeled for a friend who is a hairstylist and he wanted to have me to have a blonde crown and black base. I was terrified at first making him promise to dye it black after the shoot. Instead, I feel in love with it and stuck with it for almost a year, bleaching it lighter and lighter till my poor hair eventually breaks away.

3) Where do you get your inspiration ?

I travel a lot, I like to see what there is out there and interpret it in my own little way, It might not be innovative but at least its still is uniquely mine (I hope). Apart from that I mostly get inspired from music, a genre or a certain vibe. Some images are also inspiring when its captured brilliantly, that’s why I’m on the internet a lot.

4) What is your favorite movie / song / book ?

its funny how i'm not such a movie buff, even though I visit the cinema every week. i can say the most recent one that I truly like was ‘the boat that rocked’. I love British and their love for music. Currently on my ipod, I love ‘Bombay bicycle club’ at the moment. I listen to al ot of indie. As for books, ‘the life of pi’ was really good, although I still have reread it over again to fully understand it. Can’t wait for the movie, maybe that might help.

5) How much do you spend on clothes every month, on average?

When it comes to clothes, i spend very as minimal as i can. Just cause trends run in and out so quickly that its difficult to catch up unless u have a fat and healthy wallet. I mostly look for bargains at junkyards or shop during sales, or walk into the tackiest shop to find great things to style with. So I could do with under 100 euro a month at maximum.

6) What's your fashion philosophy ?

I have weakness for designer bags as well. I treat myself to 2 bags a year depending on the price tag. I tend to binge shop when it comes to bargains, and ended up not wearing them or forgetting that I even have them. I can’t argue with the fact that fashion might be superficial at times.. I guess one needs to have a soul when they shop.

7) Do you have icons ?

alice dellal she’s really vulgar in a good way. rihanna, I don’t enjoy her music but I have to give it up to her stylist.

8) When it comes to fashion, what would you never wear ?
crocs shoes.

9) Do you have cool online shops to share with us ?

To be cliché, ebay. You can find everything in there.

10) I noticed you're on chictopia and modepass. Do you like fashion communities ? Which one is your favorite ?

Yea I have them both but I’m not active anymore. It takes up too much time to keep them updated, hope people in the those particular community would find their way to my blog instead.

Go with your instinct. Never wear something u think looks good on others if don’t feel it on yourself.
